Official Review! Sacked (Gridiron #1) by Jen Frederick

Sacked by Jen Frederick

What he wants he gets…

Knox Masters is a quarterback’s worst nightmare. Warrior. Champion. And…virgin. Knox knows what he wants–and he gets it. All American Football player? Check. NFL pros scouting him? Check. Now, he’s set his sight on two things. The national title. And Ellie Campbell. Sure, she’s the sister of his fellow teammate, but that’s not going to stop him. Especially not when he’s convinced Ellie is the one.

…but he’s never met her before.

But Ellie isn’t as sure. She’s trying to start a new life and she’s not interested in a relationship…with anyone. Beside it’s not just her cardinal rule of never dating her brother’s teammates that keeps her away, but Ellie has a dark secret that would jeopardize everything Knox is pursuing.

Knox has no intention of losing. Ellie has no intention of giving in.

Official Review!

I have had this hottie sitting on my kindle for quite sometime just waiting to be gobbled up so when I had a chance in between my “blog reads” I just had to check out Knox Masters and see if he is really as hot as his book cover is. It wasn’t long into the story and Jen had me panting with the want and need transpiring between Knox and Ellie. They are riddled with angst, dipped in sweet, and completely sinful!

Knox had my heart from the first chapter in his point of view. To every girl at his college, he seemed to be a unicorn that every girl wanted to capture. Who wouldn’t want the star football player who had yet to take his pleasure with any of the girls lined up to offer it to him? And trust me, the line was endless! It was refreshing getting to know a hero who wasn’t a man whore or even a reformed rake instead was someone who knew that he was looking for “the one” right from the beginning. You would think that would make him seem “girlie” or “inexperienced” but he shows that he is every inch a man and knows how to use it, with the right girl..wink, wink!

“When you meet the girl who’ll be sitting on the front porch holding your hand when you’re eighty, you don’t let a thing like cool dismissive looks, big brothers or fucking rules stand in your way.”

Ellie or “Elliot” as her dad named her, is a college girl that is a natural skeptic, hangs with the guys, and knows football better than most females know clothing and shoes brands. I really liked this no nonsense heroine who often uses practicality, even in matters of the heart, and tried her best to resist Knox’s brand of charm. Lucky for him, she was anything but immune! I couldn’t help but love this young woman who would do anything for her family and yet wanted to keep herself from falling in love and experiencing all the joy that would bring.

“You tell me if you don’t like something. It’s my first time you know.” “His first time? Holy mother, those words are an incredible aphrodisiac.”

Jen Frederick gives a steamy, hilarious, and emotional start to her Gridiron series that is sure have readers coming back for more…I know I am! I highly recommend Sacked for the hottest football player around who knows exactly who holds his heart, whether she believes him or not. I cannot wait to start on the next Gridiron book and cozy back up with these gorgeous football players that kept me laughing throughout Sacked. All I can say is I am more than ready for Matty Iverson so bring it on in Jockblocked! I can handle anything this hottie has to dish out!

“It’s you baby,” I tell her. “It’s all you. Your tight body rubbing against mine. The smell of the honey of your hair. Your sweet lips pressing against my chest when you thought I wasn’t paying attention. All you.”
