Riveted (Saints of Denver #3) by Jay Crownover

I received a copy via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review

RivetedHaving never read anything by Jay Crownover but knowing that I was going to have the pleasure to meet her in October at an author signing event, I figured why not read Riveted and start my journey with Dixie and Dash in the Saints of Denver series. It wasn’t long before Jay Crownover has us on the back of Dash’s bike making our way across the country from Denver to Mississippi to partake in some suspense, sexiness, and righting old wrongs.

Dixie Carmichael is one of those characters that you will never be the same after you meet her. She is a ray of sunshine that spills throughout her whole body starting with her vibrant red hair to her perky little toes and everything in between. She is always there for everyone and knows how to shine light on any dark mood including Dash Churchill’s. From the moment that she set eyes on Dash she knew that he was her “one and only” and hasn’t given up hope that he will eventually figure that out. I absolutely adored everything about this heroine from her sunny disposition, her unwavering faith in the good of everyone, and her undeniable sexual need and unrequited love for Dash. If only we all had just a fraction of the positive sparkle that pours out of Dixie in every situation, our life would be the better for it. Dixie has every reader falling head over heels for her wacky t-shirts and “glass is half full” personality.

Dash Churchill is a battle worn veteran who has loved and lost not one but two very important women in his life that has forever changed him. He spends his life running from love until he can’t turn his back on the saucy red head from Denver that sets his world to spinning. When a phone call from home has him rushing back to his hometown with his heart on his sleeve and Dixie wrapped around him and his bike, he knows that his life will never be the same again. What is not to love about this troubled southern boy with a sexy drawl, gorgeous body, and heart of gold. He had me unraveling emotionally early on in his story and anxious to see him reconcile with his family and accept the love of a great woman who is perfect for him. There wasn’t a time that he called her “pretty girl” that my heart didn’t melt just a little bit more.

Jay Crownover delivers a soul gripping read that is sure to spike your pulse and grab your heart. I highly recommend Riveted for a bike ride through the south that will leave you with a craving for a muscled hero with an irresistible southern drawl and a bubbly heroine that will have you viewing all of life through rose colored glasses. I cannot wait to go back to the beginning of the Saints of Denver and Marked Men series and experience more of Jay Crownover’s amazing characters and gut wrenching story lines.
