Review! Lust (Vegas Nights #2) by Emma Hart

Lust by Emma Hart

Detective Adrian Potter had a lot to answer for. I didn’t care that he was tasked with shutting down the city’s most prolific hookers.

I cared that he was stopping me from providing for my daughter.

He didn’t care.

Not at all.

Until I broke down in the backseat of his car… And he let me go.

Adrian was a single parent, too. He knew how hard I had it. At least, he thought he did.

He had a job. He had people who cared. He didn’t know just how lucky he was.

My name is Perrie Fox.

I was a whore of the highest value.

Until Detective Adrian Potter.

Until the tattooed, redemption-seeking detective entered my life, looking for his fairytale.

The cop and the hooker.

Happily ever fucking never.

You’ve met one Fox sibling.

Now meet the other…

(LUST is book two of the Vegas Nights series. While it is a standalone, the time frame does overlap with scenes in the previous book, SIN. You can, however, read LUST without reading SIN.)

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

I could not wait to get my hands on another book from the Vegas Nights series and find out more about the mysterious Perrie Fox that Emma Hart introduced to her readers in Sin, the first book in the series. Little did I know that Emma would decimate my heart with yet another fictional detective with Adrian Potter. It wasn’t long into Perrie and Adrian’s story in Lust that I was completely besotted by them and their adorable offspring.

Perrie Fox is a conundrum that I couldn’t wait to solve. I wanted to peel back the layers of this woman who would do anything for her daughter. I had nothing but admiration for Perrie and sympathy for the plight of raising a daughter with no family or money. She shows everyone what she is made of with her tenacity and had me developing a crush faster than Adrian…a girl crush that is.

Adrian Potter has a heart as big as his muscled and inked arms. I couldn’t help but fall for him, hard and fast after seeing all the things he did for Perrie add in the way he treats Perrie’s daughter Lola and I was an absolute blubbering mess. Emma had hearts pounding and heavy sighs escaping all of her readers with this delicious and soft hearted hero.

Emma Hart delivers another story that leaves fans all around the world an emotional mess and clamoring for more sparks with heart and flowers from this hero and heroine. I highly recommend Lust for a read that gives us just that and so much more. Emma never fails to amaze, dazzle, and leave tears in our eyes from her stupendous story telling skills. There isn’t a book of hers that I have read that I wasn’t enamored before even half way through. Her humor, love for family, and downright sexy words that she adds into all of her stories keeps me begging for more. I am always looking for more books from this fascinating and talented author.
