Official Review! Whiskey Burning (Iron Fury MC, Book #1) by Bella Jewel

Whiskey Burning by Bella Jewel

BLURB:

In the darkness is where I first met him.
Alone at a water fountain, tears rolling down my cheeks.
Ready to give up.
From the shadows, his voice came to me.
Soothing. Comforting. Rough as the blackest night.
I didn’t see him.
I didn’t even know his name.
All I knew was he saved me that night.
He put my back on my feet.
And he kept me on them.
Every single time I needed him, he found a way to come to me.
My stranger of the night.
My dark warrior.
My name is Scarlett. You probably know me.
I’m America’s number one country music star.
I’m also the loneliest girl you’ll ever meet.
He’s as free as a bird. A nomad. Travelling alone.
Nobody to hold him back.
He holds the freedom I pray for every single day.
He shows me that life can be so much more than what I’m living.
When danger comes knocking, he’ll also show me a different world.
A world I never knew existed.
A world that both terrifies and fascinates me.
A world that goes against everything I’ve ever known.
A world of Iron Fury.

Official Review!

(Reviewed by Cathy Stansell of Rochelle’s Reviews)

I have read several of Bella Jewel’s M.C. Romance books. Let me tell you, she can certainly write an engaging and powerful story! If you read one of her books you will definitely not be disappointed.

Scarlett is a great country and western singer, but she feels trapped in her profession. She can not even walk anywhere alone without someone nearby so that no one can get to her. Sure she’s safe and secure, but she’d rather be free! She is out one night at a fountain when thinks she is all alone, and then she hears a voice. The voice is calming, warm, and she feels safe hearing it. She never sees him, and after he leaves she feels like that that was the one and only time she’ll cross paths with him. Some time later, she sees a sexy hunk of a man all tattooed up, and she loves the looks of him. Then he speaks, and it’s the same voice as before!

Maverick has been alone, just him and his bike, for about a year. He is full of pain and he is trying to run from it all. He belongs to the Fury MC Club, and he will go back sooner or later. He is just not ready to return yet because too much has happened. He is trying to get things straightened out. He might have returned, but he met Scarlett and this woman has a connection with him that he can’t explain. He has not felt this way in a long time. All he has had before are women to use then lose. Scarlett is different though, and he likes everything about that woman. He wants her in his life so bad.

You see the friendship building between the two of them. Then when Scarlett’s past comes back to haunt her, Maverick gets his brothers to help them out. Bad things happen and Maverick, Scarlett, and the whole MC need to look out.

I hated that this book ended with me wanting more. But I love Bella Jewell and I know that she will have the rest of it soon. Thanks for another outstanding book Bella Jewell.
