, Sage and Harlan are my favorite. Sandra Brown has a knack for getting you so wrapped up in the story that you don’t know where you end and the characters begin. Most people only care for her newer work now that she has moved on to romantic suspense, but I still adore the Tyler family and choose to visit them now and again.

Texas! Sage is the third and final book in the Texas! Trilogy. It focuses on the still floundering family business Tyler Drilling and delves into the intimate life of Sage. It starts out at a Christmas party and vibrant, beautiful, headstrong Sage is arguing with her beau, Travis, outside his mother’s house. He has made the decision to dump Sage and does so while Sage stands there with her mouth gaping. She is looking at him in disbelief over the fact that the less than studly “pimple” doctor is dumping her. In comes Harlan Boyd, who was sent by her family to bring her home for an unexpected birth, has a front row seat to the tragic show. The story and the fireworks just ramp up from there, both Sage and Harlan’s temper and passion ignite and there is no stopping what happens next.

“And if you’d squirmed against me the way you were squirming against him, I would have given you the sexiest kiss on record, and to hell with whoever might be looking.”

Sage Tyler is the youngest sibling to two macho over-protective grown brothers that still treat her like a brainless little girl that shouldn’t worry her pretty little head about Tyler Drilling. Well Sage is back from college and is determined to show them what she is made of and come up with a way to save the company. In the meantime she has no intention of telling anyone about her break up with Travis, especially when she is still in denial and thinks that he will come running back. She has spunk, is intelligent, and she is everything that Harlan wants and needs.

“He was about six feet four inches of broad-shouldered, long-legged, slim-hipped Texan. Bad-boy Texan. Sage despised him on sight, particularly because he seemed on the verge of a burst of laughter at her expense.

Harlan Boyd is a drifter that is always looking to help solve a problem and move on. Lucky and Chase are excited and have enthusiastically accepted him into the family with open arms. Once Sage steps into the picture, he is ready to set up camp and stay awhile. He knows that Chase and Lucky may not feel so kindly towards him once Sage’s arms are wrapped around him. He has movie star good looks, a sexy drawl, can wear a pair of jeans like a model, is highly intelligent and has all the right moves. Sage can deny it all she wants but Harlan is the man for her and neither of them can stay away from each other.

“When she moved toward him, her long thighs encased in those leather pants, desire slammed into his groin like a punch from a prize fighter. Ever since then, he’d been struggling to keep it under control.”

Sandra Brown knows how to save the best for last and give us an ending that leaves with a warm fuzzy feeling and rosy outlook on life. If you are looking to fall in love with a great family, have some good laughs and read hot romance that will make your heart go pitter patter, then you have come to the right place. I would suggest starting with Texas! Lucky although you could be a rebel like me and start with Texas! Sage. Either way you are destined for an entertaining read and to fall hopelessly in love with the Tyler family.

“Harlan, I’m still mad at you.”

“And the madder you get, the better you look. Put that energy to good use and kiss me like you mean it.”
