All’s fair in love and hockey. . .

As his team’s enforcer on the ice, Sebastian Deveau is America’s favorite fighting Frenchman. But he’s just as likely to get into trouble off the ice–especially when it comes to women.

Shayne Beckford is so over hockey. It ruined her parents’ marriage. It spoiled her brother’s dreams. And let’s not even talk about her college boyfriend . . . So when Sebastian Deveau walks into her brother’s gym, she has no idea who he is. All she knows is that he’s one gorgeous man with the sexiest accent she’s ever heard. And since she never has to see him again, she lets him give her the best orgasm of her life right on top of the gym’s dryer.

But Sebastian isn’t going to let this one-night stand get away so easily. He fights for what he wants, even if it takes fighting a little dirty . . .

Official Review!

I received a copy via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

As soon as I started reading Making A Play, which is the second book in the Hometown Players series, I knew I was hooked. There is something oh so delicious about a muscled athlete that is also big on heart! Victoria takes us out on the ice once again with Winning It All to see another hockey player score and find love. The gorgeous French Sebastian Deveau and the super bendy yoga instructor Shayne Beckford are full of sparks, snark, and heart!

Victoria first introduced us to the hot and sexy Sebastian in The Final Move, the third book in the series, when he was having fun flirting with Callie much to the disdain of Devin. Having seen several of his fellow hockey teammates fall in love, he is ready for a relationship of his own and has recently turned into a serial dater. That is until he meets the sexiest and spunkiest yoga instructor at Elevate Fitness and he spends his time trying to convince her that he is so much more than just the jersey number on his back. I fell so hard and fast for this gorgeous defensemen for the WinterHawks. He had me from his and Shayne’s first heated encounter and seduced me many, many times throughout their story whether he was whispering dirty words, French endearments to Shayne or being there for a teammate.

Shayne has lived life with a growing hatred for hockey and all that entails so the last thing she wants is to end up with a short tempered, self absorbed hockey player because that is what they are all like..right? When she starts to fall for the delicious Sebastian aka “Frenchie” and can’t seem to resist him, all her rules go right out the window. Shayne or Shay as Sebastian affectionately calls her is sass with a capital S. I loved being a witness to Sebastian tearing down all of Shayne’s many defenses that she built up against the hurt her dad and ex boyfriend inflicted on her. The walls that she constructed around her heart were no match against Sebastian and all his charm.

Victoria Denault gives us another dose of these sinfully sexy hockey players that you want to melt in your mouth and your hands and makes readers love them all the more. Denault’s writing brings us to brink of passion, gives us stories and amazing characters that touch our hearts and stay with us long after the last sentence is read. I highly recommend Winning It All and all of the Hometown Players series for couples that are combustible and know how to score in the hearts of readers everywhere!
