Just Released + Official Review! Promised Nights by Louise Bay

Title: Promised Nights
Series: Nights #2
 Author: Louise Bay
Genre: Contemporary Romance
 Release Date: May 11, 2016

I’ve been in love with Luke Daniels since, well, forever. As his sister’s best friend, I’ve spent over a decade living in the friend zone, watching from the sidelines hoping he would notice me, pick me, love me.

I want the fairy tale and Luke is my Prince Charming. He’s tall, with shoulders so wide he blocks out the sun. He’s kind with a smile so dazzling he makes me forget everything that’s wrong in the world. And he’s only man that can make me laugh until my cheeks hurt and my stomach cramps.

But he’ll never be mine.

So I’ve decided to get on with my life and find the next best thing.

Until a Wonder Woman costume, a bottle of tequila and a game of truth or dare happened.

Then Luke’s licking salt from my wrist and telling me I’m beautiful.

Then he’s peeling off my clothes and pressing his lips all over my body.

Then what? Is this the start of my happily ever after or the beginning of a tragedy?

Official Review!

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review

I originally read Promised Nights when it was titled the Calling Me series and fell madly, deeply in love with both Louise’s writing and Luke and Ashleigh.

From the moment I read the description of this fabulous series, it called to me. There is nothing more beautiful and sexy than a couple who have been friends for many years and become everything to one another on a whole different level. Louise Bay gives the reader family, heat, love, insecurities and doubt wrapped in a beautiful, entertaining story that you won’t want to put down. Luke and Ashleigh’s story is one of friendship, longing, and the desire to find the final puzzle piece to your soul.

Promised Nights introduces us to the swoon worthy Luke while he is in a stagnant three year relationship. Ashleigh, a long time friend, has been trying to drown her pining heart in a new boyfriend and distance herself from Luke. When circumstances change and Luke starts seeing Ashleigh in a whole new light, their world explodes one night in a moment of heat. Their passion is everything that Ashleigh has dreamed of and has opened Luke’s eyes and heart to a whole new possibility.

“Tonight, she wasn’t just Ash my best friend, she was Ash the bombshell. Ash who I had slow danced with.  Ash who I’d almost kissed.  Ash who I’d wanted to kiss.”

Louise Bay created a story full of angst, close calls, and unfulfilled wants. It was heartbreaking to watch the suffering that Ashleigh and Luke go through on their own paths back to each other. Luke wants nothing more than to be with Ashleigh while she is busy pushing him away in disbelief that he could really be hers after all these years of pining. This part of the story was full of pain and nail biting angst that draws the reader even more into Luke and Ash’s world and packs a punch to both your heart and libido.

“Every inch of her was tempting, trying to divert my attention, but I moved down her body studiously. I wanted to see, smell and taste that she wanted me.”

Promised Nights was emotional, off the charts hot and everything an ending should be for Ashleigh and Luke. I love the imagery Louise uses of the magnolia tree being the beginning of their love and the flourishing of their continued love. I highly recommend for lovers of romances that begin and end with friendship, respect and love. Luke and Ashleigh will sweep you away in their all consuming love story.

 Author Bio

USA Today bestselling author, Louise Bay writes sexy, contemporary romance novels – the kind she likes to read. Her books include the novels Faithful and Hopeful and the novella series’ The Empire State Series, What the Lightning Sees and Calling Me. The novels and together the series are stand-alone although there are some overlapping characters.

Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, Louise loves all things romantic. There’s not enough of it in real life so she disappears into the fictional worlds in books and films.

Louise loves the rain, the West Wing, London, days when she doesn’t have to wear make-up, being on her own, being with friends, elephants and champagne.

She loves to hear from readers so get in touch!
