Blurred Lines (Caught by Erika Ashby and A. E. Woodward)

Our family had the pleasure of reading this book earlier this week. I say “Our family” because there is more than one of us in the house that read this novel. Yes, it was that good. Whenever I find a book that is a coming of age love story, my soul jumps and down.  This story has it all and will definitely be a book that will stay on my to-read shelf.  Both of the authors sense of humor shines through in the antics and inventive vocabulary used by the characters. Although I found it very entertaining, I would not recommend reading in a waiting room due to uncontrollable laughter.

One of my favorite aspects of the book is that it was done in dual point of view. We get to see the story through the perspective of both Quinn and Chace, whose long time friendship has brought about a specific closeness. Add in a girl friend/ best friend and moving away to college and the plot thickens. I am sure you can see where this is going but to whether you finish the journey is up to you.

Childhood friendship + unrequieted feelings + love triangle + humor + gut wrenching emotions= a captivating page turner

“Give me five minutes to change and at least run a brush through my hair. My neck, my back, my Netflix and my snacks have been my friends for far too long.”
