When you live in a place where “turbo speed” internet is a slight step above dial-up, men carry on nine-year beard-growing challenges out of stubborn pride, and your brothers do things like nail all your panties to the outside of your cabin just for funsies, you tend to be a little crazy. You can call it a “locational” hazard, if you will.
That’s Tomahawk for you.
We rank people based on just how crazy they are. And the four craziest families in town are called the Wild Ones.
I’m on the bottom tier of those, so technically I’m not as crazy as the other Wild Ones. In fact, if it wasn’t for my brothers and their endless antics, I wouldn’t be considered a Wild One at all. Ahem. Sure. We’ll go with that.
Anyway, I have a best friend who endures it all with me. Benson Nolans is my one, constant favorite person.
Without him, I’d probably go really crazy, and not the fun kind. It’d be ridiculous, after three years of a flawless friendship, to mess that all up by falling for him.
I mean, even if we did get a little too close one night, it’d be reckless endangerment. Even if we did suddenly feel the chemistry that’s always been there and stop toeing the line, it’d be a foolish risk to take.
It’d be stupid to start hoping a really fun, but completely irrational, night with zero inhibitions might accidentally happen.
Really stupid…
*NO cliffhanger
*Stand-alone book
*Sexual Content
*Adult language
*Completely, 100% crazy

What a delightful read. This book will have you laughing so hard at times you might have tears. This book takes place in a small town called Tomahawk where they live by a different kind of rules. Rules that will have you cracking up.

Lila Vincent is a fun loving crazy girl. She loves the life that she lives. She has a crazy life with those two wild brothers of hers. The pranks that they pull on her and her on them is funny. You will catch yourself laughing out loud endlessly. They do things like hammer her panties outside, breaking her bed. But don’t kid yourself she gets even with the help of her friend Benson.

Benson Nolans is Lila’s friend and he helps her all of the time. He is in love with Lila but how can he tell her? He has had these feeling for over a year. He wakes up with her straddling him one morning and he thinks is it time to tell her how he feels?

This town is crazy but funny. The things that go on in the town are out of this world. I myself think it would be awesome to live in a town like this. Silly things like beards. You have to read this book especially because it is a light-hearted read. I can not say to much because it is such a great read I do not want to spoil any of it. C.M. Owens you went overboard with this one. I am excited to read the next one.

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review

There is nothing more enjoyable and entertaining than barreling full speed ahead into a new fictional world created by the talented C. M. Owens. I knew immediately from the description in the blurb that I was about to encounter more hilarity and antics than what was ever displayed in Owens Sterling Shore series, and I didn’t think that was even possible. So get ready for an action packed wild adventure to the four crazy corners of the river in a little eccentric country town named Tomahawk where the beards are unsightly and unkept, the rules are preposterous, and pranks are outrageous! Benson and Lilah take us to the heights of humor and ecstasy while dealing with the all the crazy that resides within a community filled with the wild ones…that’s Tomahawk for you!

Nothing gets my heart pitter pattering like a feisty heroine who isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty and let her sarcastic side come out and play and a romance that explodes from a long time friendship. So C. M. Owens was speaking my language when she created Lilah Vincent and the unbreakable bond between her and Benson. I couldn’t wait to get inside her crazy head and live a day or two in her muddy boots, meet her screwball brothers Hale and Killian, and explode over the crazy heat between her and Benson.

What Benson lacks in crazy he makes up for in mystery. Since joining the town of Tomahawk years ago Benson still remains an enigma and the only thing that we are sure of is his unrequited feelings for Lilah. I loved delving deep into this hero’s psyche and getting to know more about him and his “complicated” family. I fell hard for the quiet and broody Benson and wish I could spend more time in Tomahawk drooling over him.

C. M. Owens delivers an uplifting, wacky romance that is sure to lighten your mood, tickle your funny bone, and give you yet another kooky town and group of characters to fall in love with. I highly recommend Becoming A Vincent for a walk on the wild side with the most colorful characters you will ever meet in the craziest town that you will ever love in the beginning of a series that will keep you hooked!
