They say it’s as easy as following your heart. Just listen to it, and let it guide you…

It’s so simple isn’t it?

Even if half belongs to one best friend, and the other half literally beats for the other…

It doesn’t matter how much time passes or how angry I am at the world, because I know without a doubt that I needed both of them.

More than I needed to breathe.

OFFICIAL REVIEW!

I received a copy and voluntarily left a review.

Kathleen has managed to keep my mind and my heart so twisted up with this college age trio who have been together through thick and thin and now find themselves deeply entrenched in a love triangle with a side of danger. It wasn’t long into Midnight Rain and I was ready to pull my hair out over the turmoil between these two young men that have a tug of war going on with Bree’s heart! Jase and Ethan are still smokin’ hot and wanting to claim their lady love and protect her in every way. One does that by waiting in the shadows watching over her while the other is front and center and gorgeous as ever with his jersey wearing self.

Ethan “the mule” Jones is more than ready and willing to show Bree how he feels for her and lets her know at every turn that he is not up for just being friends anymore. Ethan shows readers and Bree once again that he will protect her at all cost even if that means trying to keep her away from Jase. While sometimes Ethan’s “white knight syndrome” comes on a little strong, I still melt a little inside when he is sweet to Bree…which is always no matter whether it is bringing her a Reese’s cup or spending movie night with her instead of being out partying with his buddies.

While Bree came across as completely fragile in the first book in the series “In The Breeze”, she lets us see how much strength and back bone she has in “Midnight Rain”. I couldn’t help admire her and cheer her on…even when she was once again putting herself in danger so she could find out answers. There is so much mystery surrounding both Jase and Ethan that a girl can’t help but be curious and want to find out what they aren’t telling her.

Jase is still a heart throbbing bad boy and I so wanted to see him step out of the shadows more and fight for Bree’s heart but alas that is not the case with this misunderstood young man that is selfless in every way. My heart beats so hard for this fictional boyfriend and I can’t wait to see more of him in books to come in this series! All I can say when it comes to Jase is that…I want more!

Kathleen Maree delivers another emotional punch with the Lakeshore University saga that leaves our hearts a tangled mess for these three amazing characters and has us begging for so much more! I highly recommend “In The Breeze” and “Midnight Rain”, which must be read as companions so that you don’t miss any of their gut wrenching love and history, for a love story that is sure to leave three gigantic holes in your heart that can only be filled once again by Ethan, Bree, and Jase with another piece of their story. Kathleen has done a phenomenal job wrapping these three equally amazing characters with lust, love, and mystery that teases us more with every page she writes!

From the earliest age I was a born storyteller.

Ask my parents and they will tell you I had a gift for making a simple event seem like an elaborate one. Purposely? No. Innocently? Yes. It was my imaginary world that initially led me to believe I wanted to be an actor. All of that role playing and living in fantasy… it was an obvious direction for me. However, becoming quite uncomfortable with the limelight quickly saw that dream diminish.

Over the years I turned my world of fantasy into stories, and eventually began writing them down. Before I knew it, ‘Cut’ had been completed.

When I am not busy writing my next story, I am a working mum, housewife and sometimes hockey wag :) In other words, probably some kind of circus act who specialises in juggling 😉

I hope you enjoy my blog, where I will be posting thoughts, other books I am currently reading and even sneak peeks of my novels. I encourage any feedback, comments or direct messages via my contact page should anyone wish to get in touch.

I am so thrilled to be sharing my journey and hope you enjoy my stories as much as I enjoy writing them.

Dream often. Believe always.
