Love Unexpected by Louise Bay

When the fierce redhead with the beautiful ass walks into the local bar, I can tell she’s passing through. And I’m looking for distraction while I’m in town—a hot hook-up and nothing more before I head back to the city.

If she has secrets, I don’t want to know them.

If she feels good underneath me, I don’t want to think about it too hard.

If she’s my future, I don’t want to see it.

I’m Blake McKenna and I’m about to teach this Boston socialite how to forget every man who came before me.

When the future I had always imagined crumbles before my very eyes. I grab my two best friends and take a much needed vacation to the country.

My plan of swearing off men gets railroaded when on my first night of my vacation, I meet the hottest guy on the planet. I decide he could be the distraction I might just need.

I’m certainly not going to reveal my deepest secrets to him as we steal away each night hoping no one will notice.

And the last thing I’m going to do is fall in love for the first time in my life.

My name is Mackenzie Locke and I haven’t got a handle on men. Not even a little bit. Not until Blake.

Previously titled Love Rehab.

A sexy, standalone, contemporary romance.

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Having read almost every one of Louise Bay’s books, I can say that I have become addicted to the scorching heat and passion that develops between her characters. She never fails to keep me entertained with their story and leave me wishing for her to continue the story line with some other characters from the same fictional world. I am a sucker for series, what can I say. What she offers readers with Love Unexpected is so much more profound and shows us that what you bring to a relationship can completely affect the outcome. She takes us deep into the world of group therapy, shamans, and horses who have the power to understand our minds better than we do and gives us a love that is so deep and will brand you from the inside out. Mackenzie and Blake had my heart invested and kept me begging for more of their sheet twisting, soul wrenching attraction.

Mackenzie Locke has been engaged four times but never married. She is a passionate woman who has achieved much of her goals in life, except becoming a wife and a mother. She knows that she would make the perfect wife and uses her people pleasing skills to be the woman that her current man wants, but somehow ends up alone without the ring on her finger. Mackenzie finds herself at a crossroads and in the middle of Christie, Oklahoma looking for answers in her search for a husband. What she doesn’t expect to find is a horse that doesn’t cooperate or a one night stand that becomes so much more. Getting to learn who the real Mackenzie is and watching her grow as a person was enlightening and inspiring. Experiencing the way Blake rocks her world shook me to my very foundation and left me craving more.

” I was trying to be the girl that men didn’t leave, that my father didn’t abandon. All this time, I’d been trying to bring him back.”

Blake McKenna finds himself deciding between different career paths. The best way to make that decision is to go back to Christie and spend some time in the presence of his family. What he doesn’t expect is to encounter a red headed angel who turns his world upside down. I fell hard for this hero with a rock hard body, the brain of genius, and a mouth built for sin. He is everything that a heroine could want or need in their life!

“I’m not sure what I’m into.” It wasn’t clear if she knew how much that comment revealed about her. My heart ached for this girl. She had so much to offer yet she’d never bothered to figure out what she wanted in a relationship, or what physically worked for her.”

Louise Bay delivers a profound, “touch your heart” story of growth, heat, and love. I am in awe of the message and the heart that Louise puts into Love Unexpected. I highly recommend you to put down your cellphone, get back to basics, and spend some quality time getting down and dirty with Mackenzie and Blake.

“I fumble at her zipper and thrust my hands down her panties. Jesus, she was wet. “You been thinking about me all morning.” I asked. “Yes,” she breathed into my neck. “Can you feel what I want? Do I need to ask you?” Fuck, this girl got me hard in a split second.”

About the Author:

USA Today bestselling author, Louise Bay writes sexy, contemporary romance novels – the kind she likes to read. Her books include the novels Faithful and Hopeful and the novella series’ The Empire State Series, What the Lightning Sees and Calling Me. The novels and together the series are stand-alone although there are some overlapping characters.

Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, Louise loves all things romantic. There’s not enough of it in real life so she disappears into the fictional worlds in books and films.

Louise loves the rain, the West Wing, London, days when she doesn’t have to wear make-up, being on her own, being with friends, elephants and champagne.

She loves to hear from readers so get in touch!
